DESIGNING OF THE DELAY-INDEPENDENT
COMPUTING DEVICE
- Yu. Stepchenkov, Yu. Diachenko, Yu. Rozhdestvenski, N.Morozov,
and D. Stepchenkov
The results of practical design of a delay-independent computing
device performing division and square root extraction in accordance
with IEEE 754 Standard are presented. Advanced indicating sub-
circuit provides the total control of transition termination of all
elements in the computing device at each phase of work. The va-
lidity of the delay-independent feature of the computing device is
provided by the hierarchical analysis.
Keywords: self-timed circuits; self-validation; computing device; hierarchical
analysis
SYSTEM OF CAPSULE PROGRAMMING
AND DEBUGGING
- R. Zelenov, Yu. Stepchenkov, V. Volchek, D. Hilko, A. Shneyder,
and A. Prokofyev
The results of tool development for creation and debugging of cap-
sule programs for a recursive signal processor are presented. The
ways that allow to provide this product with a property of §exibility
for hardware changes support are shown. The ways of construction
and debugging of capsules are described.

HARDWARE MAINTENANCE FOR DIGITAL PROCESSING
OF SPEECH SIGNALS IN THE RECURRENT DATAFLOW
PROCESSOR
- Yu. Stepchenkov, V. Volchek, V. Petrukhin, A. Prokofyev,
and R. Zelenov
The implementation results of the multicore digital signal processor
with nonconventional recurrent data§ow architecture specialized in
parallel computations are presented. In addition to speci¦c nature
of the architecture, organization features of a single processor core
focused on e.ective execution of digital speech signal processing are
considered. A number of techniques designed to reduce an overhead
of loops and branches organization is proposed.
Keywords: digital signal processing; dataflow architecture; recurrence;
multicore processor; parallel computing; loop; branch
COMPLETENESS OF THE SELF-TIMED ANALYSIS
OF ELECTRONIC CIRCUITS
- L. Plekhanov
The comprehension of the self-timed analysis of circuits associated
with the initial states and changes of information inputs is discussed.
It is shown that an incomplete account of these changes leads to er-
roneous conclusions. Su©cient conditions of changes in information
inputs providing analysis completeness are obtained. Some ways of
full analysis implementation for event-oriented methods and func-
tional method are proposed.
Keywords: speed-independent circuits; self-timed analysis; completeness
of the self-timed analysis
THE IMPACT OF TRANSIENT FAILURES
ON MICROPROCESSOR SYSTEMS CACHE RELIABILITY
- V. Zakharov and B. Shmeilin
The impacts of transient failures on cache reliability regarding the
data, address tags, and status bits are considered. The behavioral
model of data elements, address tags, and status bits re§ecting their
vulnerability to transient failures is proposed. For some applica-
tions, to increase fault tolerance, it is recommended to use a cache
with write-through instead of a cache with write-back. It is shown
that in multiprocessing systems the sensitivity of status bits to tran-
sient failures can be lowered by using the write protocol with up-
dating instead of write protocol with invalidation.

with write; cache with write back; address tags; status bits; Hamming

RGB-CHARACTERIZATION OF COLOR PERCEPTION
SPACE
- O. Arkhipov and Z. Zykova
The problem of RGB-characterization of perceptual space of color
pixels presentations in printer outputs by an arbitrary personal com-
puter user is considered. An IT is proposed that allows to compute
the functions of RGB-characterization of space of color perception
of pixels imprints by an arbitrary user. This IT is based on testing
the color perception of an arbitrary user, the analysis of these tests,
the account of color reproduction properties in the user computer
system. The IT computes the functions of the RGB-characterization
of the space of color perception of pixel printer outputs for an arbi-
trary user and is similar to the functions of RGB-characterization of
color space of watchers with well-known anomalies of color vision.
Keywords: color space; chromatic perception; color perception space;
anomaly of color vision; partial color blindness; RGBcharacterization
THREE-DIMENSIONAL SPACE OBJECT MORPHING
TRACKING METHOD BASED ON EXPERIMENTHAL
DATA
- O. Arkhipov, Yu. Maniakov, and D. Sirotinin
A method of tracking of the changes of the shape of nature objects
based on processing of two-dimensional images using photogramme-
try methods is described. This method allows to track the changes
of a nature object, construct the three-dimensional (3D) model, and
display the shape changes of the nature object on it.
Keywords: stereoimages; color characteristics; 3D object; tracking;
morphing
MATHEMATICAL MODELS FOR BASIC FUNCTIONING
PROCESSES OF AN INFORMATION WEB PORTAL
- A. Ivanov
The modeling of processes determining indexes of information
sources e©ciency and user activity of an informational web por-
tal is discussed. The application of stochastic threshold models is
considered. The methods of expert estimation of the parameters of
these models are proposed. The results of numerous experiments
based on actual observations are presented and compared.
Keywords: web-portal; informational sources; stochastic models; dynamic
observation systems; expert estimation of parameters
