DATA LIFE CYCLE PLANNING IN THE (POST)GRANT PERIOD
- V. A. Nuriev
- A. K. Rychikhin
Abstract
The article discusses the experience of the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) in organizing data life cycle in the (post)grant period. In particular, excerpts from legal documents, a structure of a data management plan recommended by SNSF, and explanation of FAIR Data Principles are presented.
Also, the requirements of SNSF to repositories suitable for hosting data are considered. The article allows one to get an initial idea of the data life cycle planning in the (post)grant period according to the requirements of a number of scientific institutions and can serve as a practical guide for researchers who face the issues of data life cycle planning for the first time.
